Ok .. I just need to sound off on this one. This is not a call to a flame war this just my own opinion you are more then welcome to disagree with me in a CIVILISED manner.

I just saw the preview to HALO anniversary edition and I just couldn’t stand the SALES PITCH! For those of you who aren’t aware Halo is now 10+ years old and the gaming stupid “343” is re-releasing the first Halo game. Now what they’ve done is put it onto Xbox 360 and brought the graphics up to 360’s capabilities and added some more multiplayer support. This is ALL THEY DID from what I’ve read in the press release. What really urks me about the sales pitch is they try to make it sound like they did a lot. Reading between the lines all they did was superimpose an updated graphical skin over the old one…. so you have TWO graphical processes going on at once and I can SO SEE where this might lead to game lag. They also used the words “A gift to the fans” ............... gift?  .... what gift? ....  They are going to make you pay $40 - 60 for an old game with new make-up. I’d be FINE if they presented it differently but trying to take more credit then due and using the words “a gift” just rubs me the wrong way.
:::pant pant pant:::: yeah .. this is a rant.. .I know I’m sorry ... 

So ... in closing ... while I loved the first Halo and played it through more times then I can count on all difficulty levels and would play it again if I could just DL a graphical update for my PC…. . I WILL NOT be bending over backwards to play this graphically patched 10 year old game. ..... 

Now remember .. I said CIVILISED disagreements ...............
