and Helicopters, don’t forget the helicopters.
It is unfortunate as I’ve always had a keen interest in Mechs but don’t really see too much practicality with them. I could see them being used more in construction applications.
Come to think of it, I’m surprised no one that I’ve ever noticed or seen has made some sort of hybridization. Robotic Arms are pretty well established and advanced. Why not slap a pair on a Skid Steer! Add on some new input device to make it simplistic and I’d say you’ve got a winning combination. For instance, I saw on one DIY show how this contractor was making a custom landscape using these huge rocks. It’d have been a LOT easier to just grab them with a pair of robotic hands than finagle ‘em onto a pair of front forks. Less manpower needed too, as you could probably really pivot them more…

thats a good idea. i mean now that I think about it they would be better for construction, demolition, salvage, etc. then for fighting
