Any suggestions?
I’ve been looking for new anime, I haven’t been connected to anime/manga culture lately so i dont even know whats popular or whatever.
So what do any of you suggest.
I really like stuff by CLAMP (Cardcaptors, Tsubasa)
as well as K-ON, Azumanga Daioh, FMA, and anything by Hayao Miyazaki and Satoshi Kon.
I didnt get to finish but I also enjoyed Gunslinger Girl, Speed Grapher, Cowboy Bepop, Samurai Champloo, Ghost in the Shell, and Shugo Chara.
Any suggestions for movies and series are appreciated.
Re: Any suggestions?
As a CLAMP fan, if you haven’t seen Magic Knights Rayearth (not plain Rayearth, same characters but everything else different), now you should. I also can’t push Outlaw Star enough (I really want to see that again) and possibly Vandred (sp?—I never got that right first try for some odd reason) would be a good one as well.

Try “Project Blue: Earth SOS.” A take on 1930-50s American scifi movies. It has a good mix of action, humor and horror.

I haven’t seen too many new ones lately, but I really suggest watching the classics that you haven’t finished. I’m doing that now online/Netflix and by borrowing DVDs. I’ve been enjoying them so much. I only saw 3 episodes of Sailor Moon when it was on Cartoon Network, but I love the series now (both versions) and wish I’d been watching it when I was younger. I was the perfect age when it first aired.
You should finish Cowboy Beebop and Samurai Champloo. And if you like those, you might like Coyote Ragtime Show.

As with “Cowboy Beebop” and “Samurai Champloo” “The Coyote Ragtime Show” is a good entry-way anime.
Lots of fun. Unexpectedly, lots of blood in the first episode though.
