Looking for Thespians in the SW CT Area

Hi all,

I am a 29 year old gamer who’s been at this gig since the 1st Edition / 2nd Edition D&D days. Some of you in the Stamford Area may remember me from the Old Wizards of the Coast store, where I used to run Friday Night Magic. I’ve been to CTCon for the last 4 years. In ‘06 and ‘07 I cosplayed Darth Nihilus. In ‘08 and ‘09 I was Darth Revan.

I am currently looking for Roleplayers (Not Roll-Players) to mix things up in the Stamford/Norwalk/Greenwich area. I am currently in the process of developing my own setting for 3.5 edition D&D or Pathfinder, as one of many projects.

I need to fill out my player base due to recent attrition and am looking for deep, introspective folks with some life experience and commitment to the actual thespian aspects thereof, albeit with some tactics and dice-rolling.

I have a number of other projects in the works and am in need of players with open minds who can commit to a regular schedule. I’m also looking to put together some older-school magic players who recognize the scam of DCI’s constantly shuffling restriction/ban list for the gimmic it is. Not looking to play Mox/Lotus decks mind you, just throwing the competitive and rules-lawyering for marketting scams out to focus on the love of the game.

On a separate note I am currently working on a film-project in the “fanfilm” nature, as CT lacks one thus far. Any interest?

Please remember that we are currently in the off-season of the convention. As such, people normally take a while to reply. On top of that, it’s also the holiday season, and even more people than normal are offline.

And lots of “roleplayers” actually prefer to be roll players =) Like myself, I just like the adventure and team tactics involved in hacking and slashing!

I wish I would have seen your posts earlier…
Never Fear, there are many Role-Players in CT (myself being one).

Are you coming to Connecticon this year, we have a many dramatic games planned Dresden Files, Dr. Who, Buffy, Serenity, etc

Irony…. was at both last year and this year’s. Already making plans to implement much of what I wrote above NEXT year, as my hands were full these past few years creating and running the troupe “A Count Named Slick-Brass and the Crew of the A.S.S. Titilus”

ravenspoe, get back to me via PM.
