Re: Thanks for the input

Hi Jim and all.  Busy with moving in my 89 year old MIL, but plans procede for Historical Miniatures Gaming for Connecticon 2010 (Same weekend as Historicon, I believe).

Playtested two scenarios for next year:

1) Lawrence of Arabia in Gaza, leading his arab allies (if more players show up reinforced by a column of British regulars) against a Turkish garrison in one of his first ‘sweep in from the desert’ attacks on a key water point.  Turks have called for back-up from the Asia Korps (German), as well.  Great War Rule set, WW1, 25/28mm.  Arab camel and horse calvary could flank the Turks?  Table 2xconvention rectangularx2 more crossed in a T shape, to allow the true “sweep in from the dessert sands” appearance.  Ruined fort is the site of a fierce battle between local Arabs and the French Foreign Legion during Connecticon 08 (or was it 07?)

2)Pursuit of the Goeben.  Elements of the British Mediterranean FLeet attempt to cut off the Goeben (battlecruiser) and Breslau (LIght Cruiser) as they enter the Aegean Sea, aiming to pass through the straits of Dardanelles and enter the Black Sea, there to join the Turkish Navy (where in history, the Goeben fought as a Turkish ship until the 1970’s!).  World War 1 Naval, Victory at Sea/Age of Dreadnaughts rule set, 1/2400 miniatures.

3) The Red Baron flies his 3 wing Fokker, attempting to add to his score of allied planes shot down.  Wings of War, WW1 aerial combat, multiple missions are possible ranging from one on one dog fight to observation/bombing runs to be counterattacked with 3-4 planes per side.

Please copy over to the 2010 forum as you see fit.
