How many fans are still out there, even after thirty years of the franchise? I just became a fan, starting with Gundam 00. What’s your favorite series and what made it memorable?

I enjoy the fact that nobody has a normal name (Lockon Stratos, Char Aznable, etc.) That’s anime for you. <!—s:D—><!—s:D—>

I’ve been a fan for around 4-ish years.

I my favorite (and the one I started with) was G Gundam, then I watched SEED and I got hooked. I used to hate Gundam (can’t recall why). Thats when I met my friend whos also a Gundam fanatic.

I’ll almost promise you I’ll never watch Victory Gundam (for reasons that the creator says)

- Saviour Gundam
- Burning/God Gundam
- Gundam MK II/Super Gundam
- Seravee Gundam

Favorite Pilots:
- Athrun Zala
- Judau Ashta
- Char Azanable

I couldn’t stand G Gundam actually. My favorites were the original Mobile Suit Gundam and SEED probably because there are a lot of similarities between them. Amuro Ray is the OG gundam pilot!!! SEED had a nice touch of drama to it. <!—s:)—><!—s:)—> Gundam 00 is pretty sweet; 2nd season is pretty awesome.

I’d seen a few straggling bits of anime over the years like Akira or bits that leaked into stuff like Liquid Television, but my first real anime experience was Gundam Wing.  I could’ve written it off as a giant robot cartoon, but was grabbed by the rich characterization, unusual plot, and surprisingly deep philosophical content.  I’ve observed this in most other Gundam series I’ve watched since.

Wing is still a fave… especially for irony in today’s world: the main characters are terrorists (though arguably, since they attack military targets not civilian ones), and the five-character dynamic, though it brings inevitable boy band quips, makes for great conflict and interplay.  The original and it’s movie versions and follow ups are pretty damn good, too, especially 0080 and 08th MS Team.  I like what I’ve seen of Zeta and SEED, and am craving more.  I’m hoping to catch 00 at con this year.

I haven’t seen many Gundam works that Bandai hasn’t made available in the US.  Their hesitation to release everything had little excuse after the success of Wing and SEED, though now due to the state of the industry it’s probably not affordable to do even a limited run.

I have no desire whatsoever to see G Gundam or SD.  I’ve seen fragments and am all set.

As far as favorite MS, they’d probably all be from Wing.  I like the style and design of Deathscythe and Epyon the most, though if I lived in that world and had to pilot one, I’d want Wing ZERO hands down (ZERO system plus best array of armaments and high mobility).

My first Gundam was Wing, and I liked it. The only other one that’s maintained my interest is Gundam 00. G Gundam would have been good had it stayed about the tournament and not gone off into the playing card heroes and the Dark Gundam stuff.

And I don’t know if it makes me a heathen, nor do I care, but darn it I liked SD Gundam. How can you not like those cute little guys?

I would have to say Gundam Wing is my favorite because it was on TV when I was young and I guess you could say its the show that really got me into anime. Good old Toonami <!—s;D—><!—s;D—>

Does anyone know where I can watch Gundam 00 season 2 online (dubbed)? There is nothing on Bandai’s Youtube channel. Thanks for your help!
