The weird dream thread
I’ve been having a lot of them lately. The latest one is that I’m back in my own high school trying to get my diploma which doesn’t make any sense since I’m my current age that I am now and I already have a B.A. not to mention that if I really needed to do that I’d probably be going to some other school to get my GED.
Anyway, for some reason I get stuck in this remedial math class and my teacher is the chick from…....

She’s hilarious and starts insulting each student indvidually after they get lippy with her but we learn nothing and then halfway through she lets the class out early because she needs a smoke break. I’m really not sure WHY I had this one since normally dreams are based on a mish mash of recalled recent events but I haven’t seen an Apatow film or been to a high school in awhile so I don’t know what the deal behind this one was. <!—s:-\—>

I have a lot of other odd ones I’ve had over the years, but I’ll let someone else share theirs for now.

Life is like a ride at an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it, you think it’s real, because that’s how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up/down and it has thrills/chills. And it’s fun, for a while. When you’ve been on the ride for a long time, you begin to question: ‘Is this real? Or is this just a ride?’ And other people come back to us and they say ‘Hey! Don’t worry, don’t be afraid - ever - because… this is just a ride.’
Re: The weird dream thread
Hah hah, Grant XD I have had several dreams about going back to one of my old schools.
And man have I had some strange dreams. One of my most recent ones was actually about Connecticon. My friend and I apparently got there really early cause there weren’t many people. For some strange reason, I was pretending to be a vampire even though I am not cosplaying any vampires (I think that’s due to reading Interview With the Vampire) and was basically just roleplaying with people waiting for the registration to open (must have been REALLY early if registration wasn’t open yet…). Somewhere along the line, my friend left to go do something, and a short time later registration lines opened and people were rushing to get there. Now, here is the really strange part. To get to the registration line, you had to go down a water slide, which twisted and turned and was rather fun. Once you reach the bottom, you can get your pass. Since my dreams often involve me forgetting something, I somehow lost my shirt and remember being embarrassed and quickly getting it back on. Nobody was even paying attention though.
I also remember having a dream involving Tsuzuki and Hisoka from Yami no Matsuei, I believe I was pretending to be Tsuzuki, but I don’t remember what it was about XD

Sounds wild! Its funny how some things are recurring in most people’s dreams. I had dreams about the water slide too but in other people’s houses.
It also always sucks that the ones you enjoy the most are the ones your always woken up in the middle of. ![]()

Re: The weird dream thread
My last dream involved me in a school-like setting, and everyone kept stabbing each other. I was basically observing, not really involved. And then suddenly I was in a gymnasium with the rest of the people who survived the random stabbings and it started to fill up with water. I then proceeded to unlock the door when the water almost hit the ceiling to drown all the zombies apparently trying to get into the gymnasium. And then I attempted to keep myself from getting washed away, and sat on top of a pole at the top of the gymnasium and watched everyone get eaten by zombies and the zombies roaming around for brains.
It was so. strange. Looking up all this stuff basically said I was untrusting and angry? I don’t know.

Its probably your frustration at your b/f not wanting to cosplay with you steadily bubbling towards the surface. <!—s:P—>

That’s OK. After attending so many cons, I’m sure I can at least get him to go.
But for real reals - my dream freaked me out!

Re: The weird dream thread
Finally had two more out of the blue and can definetly be classified as weird.
First was where some mercenary type dudes said I had to deliever a cell phone to someone in Iran, I’m not sure why I had to do it all I knew was that it was for some high level leader over there opposed to the Khomeni and there was important information on there.
I think I might have had that one since there’s a large Persian population where I live and they’ve been blocking the traffic lately protesting the elections and a lot of my friends from that area of the world have been talking about very militant ideas they have for taking back their government even though I’ve never set foot in Iran myself.
The other one was where Tiger Woods Dad (even though he’s dead in real life) asked me to help him break into his son’s home to steal back his stuff, OJ style. Logic fails here since I don’t know why he’d just ASK him for his stuff back and why he had to take such an extreme approach but Tiger did have a nice place at least according to my dream. He also armed us in SWAT gear for unknown reasons.
Not really sure why I had that one either, but I guess the theme of the day was breaking and entering. lol

Like forcefully making yourself wake up from a dream you’d rather not have?
If so, I’m the same.
I had a dream recently that I was sent to a different school than the one I’m currently in. But obviously since it’s a dream, it was a warped school. Evidently it was almost like an asylum-school, since there were creepy, insane kids there. It was also one of those dreams where you don’t look like yourself, but everyone knows who you are. I looked kind of like Erin Esurance, but wearing black and indigo instead of pink. And I was a spy, I guess. There was another student there, who looked like a 17-year-old OLD Snake. No other MGS games; he was Old Snake. He was thrown in there to be the dramatic, romantic interest of my dream. (Which really is off-putting to me, now that I’m not in the dream and a graying 17-year-old was puttin’ on the moves.) But yes! This school also had a tendency to kill off the crazier kids, and they thought I was a total loon. (I would imagine so; I was in a pleather suit thinking I was a spy.) So two of my friends were there, and we conjured up this elaborate plan to escape the school-asylum hybrid. I don’t think we ever did, though.
It kind of played out like an action cartoon that people tried too hard to make appear good, but it sucked and nobody liked it.

Wow! I’m surprised that your dream didn’t have a cameo by a certain NBC commentator…....
