LOTR TCG?
So I’m just curious to see if there are any other connecticon attendees who like to play the Lord of the Rings card game or have even heard of it before? <!—s:D—>

I’ve heard *of* it, but never laid eyes on it. Is it any good?

Re: LOTR TCG?
Well I enjoy it. It’s a bit lengthy and requires more thought and strategy than some ccgs. I don’t know if I’m any good or not because only one of my friends plays it with me and she still doesnt understand all of the rules anyway so its easy to beat her lol.

I’ve never been a TCG player, but wouldn’t mind taking a look at this one if it was around.

Re: LOTR TCG?
Personally I liked the look and feel of the old ICE Middle Earth: The Wizards game compared to the Lord of the Rings CCG based on the movies, but that’s just my opinion of the aesthetics of the game. I never played the new one. What’s the strategy level like?
Re: LOTR TCG?
Each player builds an army of darkness and a fellowship and tries to reach the final site with their ringbearer and ring intact. If the opponensts shadow side kills your ringbearer you lose or if your opponent makes it to the final site before you. You have to work around a pool of tokens called twighlight which are used to pay for the cost of playing shadow cards. When you play a fellowship card this adds to he twighlight pool, amongst other things, so the fellowship has to be careful because each move they make can potentially add more firepower to the opponents shadow side.
