the new series will be based on the manga unlike how the last series changed to a whole different storyline halfway thru and how many dvd sets are there?

there’s 13 sets

I got into FMA about a month ago and love it. I’ve been reading the manga online until I have room to actually buy more manga. I watched the anime and was really disappointed with it with a few small exceptions. When someone told me they may be redoing it or a new one and actually keep it to the manga, I was happy. I hope they go with it, it’s not like the company would lose money by putting out more FMA.

They are indeed making a new series thats based more around the Manga, THANK GOD, although i love everything about FMA i did wish that the anime was longer and more like the manga ^^”
But anyways the new series is supposed to come out April 4th 09 in Japan, so either we’re gonna be watching a lot of FMA subs OR we wait until America (HOPEFULLY) will be following the same idea
I wanna see Vic Mignogna as Edward Elric again X3

what is the manga version of fma about lol im stupid but wnat is it about i know its different from the anime i heard

oh maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan its a loooooooooooong story, it’s kinda like the anime YET totally different. And i dont wanna spoil anything for you either wen talking about the manga. But it is definitely amazing and A LOT better and more intense than the anime, even though anime was awesome ^^

U just gotta read it, its totally worth it. you could go on <!—w—>www.onemanga.com<!—w—> and read it on there! or just buy it, thats wat i do…cuz i like waiting to see wat happens next X3

The anime is 3-way tied for my favorite series, but I read part-way through the manga and thought it wasn’t nearly as good as the anime, which isn’t usually the case for me when the manga came first.

If there is another series, I kind of hope it picks up after the last episode and ignores Conqueror of Shamballa.

***SPOILERS!***

I hated the villain and the watering down of Hoenheim.  The connection with the Thule society at the end of the series got me expecting him to be much more complicit with the rise of the Third Reich, especially given that he had himself caused so much death for his own immortality just like Dante—let’s face it, he has alot of evil in him, even if Tricia Elric inspired him to stop.  The historical alchemist he appears to be (Paracelsus, also called Hoenheim and who lived in the same time as the character originated) was also questionably moral.  Who doesn’t want to see the Elrics taking on the Nazis through the 30s and 40s?  And how about not just writing off Winry?  The only part of the film that I wasn’t cringing at was Wrath and Gluttony.  Pride as Frtiz Lang was amusing even if the timeline doesn’t make sense.

I dunno, maybe I’m not qualified to rant on this since I haven’t read the whole of the manga.  I just favor the less silly approach.

Because Gundam 00 S2 replaced Code Geass R2’s TV slot time and FMA will take over Gundam 00 S2
