Anyone else watching this series? I am in <3.

I jumped on board a little bit late, but caught up quickly. I’ve got 3 more eps lined up to spread out between now and the next new ep that’s airing in…APRIL UGH.

Really enjoying this one, and I’m not usually a TV watcher!

Re: Fringe

I love this show, just for the fact that the cases they handle are insane, but require brain power to figure out. I enjoy shows were the protagonists are smart and cunning. Unfortunately, I haven’t caught much of this season due to the fact that Scrubs is on at the same time on ABC.

Re: Fringe

I’ve actually been keeping up with this show despite my initial thinking that it was too much like X-files. I still think its very similar in some ways and don’t always dig the whole story arc but I just love the character of the Mad Scientist Walter. He pretty much makes the show.

Re: Fringe

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

I’d say watch it on hulu, but they only have the last few episodes. Whatever way your able to watch them, it’s definitely worth watching.

This show is money. I watched all the episodes, and REALLY liked the way they linked them all together at the end, especially with the appearance of leonard nemoy and the sears towers. It is very “X-Files” like, but I think the investigations are a little more over the edge than X-Files, and I like the unexpected twists as well.

I’d say it’s definitely worth watching.

Re: Fringe

I caught the tail-end of the first season and I enjoyed it. Interesting concept, good cast. And the shortened commercial time is a great gimmick. Personally, I think it’s hard not to have a sci-fi/investigation show with a male-female team and not compare it to the X-Files. Every show with a formula even close to that will be compared to the first. And honestly, Bones seems way closer to X-Files than this show. Even the characters from Castle have a Mulder/Scully relationship.

go to bed!

And I wouldn’t compare it to X-files, I still think it holds it’s own separately. I think just the sterotypical male / female team is easy to reproduce. Shows like Castle (also good), Bones, Warehouse 13, etc… they all go with the basic male / female team. Really only 1/3 chance, (as opposed to male / male, or female / female).

Either way, good show, and worth watching from the beginning, especially after I found out some of the easter eggs, like The Watcher actually being in every episode. Some of ‘em I really had to watch for him.

As a jobless person, I should be telling YOU to go to bed!

Seriously, though, this show has easter eggs?  <!—s:o—>:o<!—s:o—>

Re: Fringe

yea, if you’ve seen “The Observer” featured in a prominent episode, he’s the guy with the bald head, suit & tie. He’s actually present in every episode, even if he’s not a major character. Like in the first episode, you see him for 0.4 seconds as he walks in front of the camera when the camera is panning up the first time to show Massive Dynamics.

Also, the glyphs that are shown before every commercial are cypher code as well. I won’t spoil it for you, but each episode spells out something.

It makes the show fun to watch along with the easter eggs.
